Design Notes

System Equivalent Noise Temperature

This example shows the use of two new VSS RF budget (RFB) measurements as well as the new ANTENNA block.

The new RFB measurements used in this project are System Equivalent Noise Temperature (Tsys) and Gain to System Temperature Ratio (G/T).

Note, the source impedance (ZS) of the TONE block is set to 377ohms, and its temperature is set to 0K.

The physical temperature for noise due to resistive loss parameter (T_PHY) of the antenna is set to _TAMB (which is 290K), and the output temperature of the antenna (T_ANT) is set to 35K. The above mentioned parameters are secondary parameters. The GAIN of the antenna is set to 50dB.
