Feed Forward Error Correction
This example demonstrates a feed forward error correction circuit design using VSS behavioral RF models.
The AM/AM characteristics of the pre-amplifier and error amplifier are displayed.
The system diagram "Amplifier Test Bench" is used to measure the AM/AM characteristics of the amplifiers.
The instantaneous signal power at each amplifier is also displayed.
You can view the reduction in the peak value of intermodulation products in the graph "Without and With Feed Forward Error Correction"
As you tune the 1dB compression point of the pre-amplifier from 40dBm to 44dBm you can improve or degrade the cancellation of the intermodulation products.
The graph "Without and With Error Correction" shows:
• The original signal (red)
• The amplified signal without error correction (blue)
• The amplified signal with error correction (black)
