Design Notes
MATLAB M File
This project shows the generation of a convolutional encoded 8PSK signal using standard VSS blocks as well as the generation of the same signal using the VSS MATLAB co-simulation block.
This co-simulation makes use of the MATLAB Communications Tool Box.
When you start the simulation VSS will automatically start and its icon will appear on the bottom tool bar.
The VSS MATLAB co-simulation block can be dependent on an "m-file" or a MATLAB command line.
The VSS MATLAB block allows the user to define the parameters of the m-file, and the output signals to be monitored in VSS.
The graphs show that the data generated in MATLAB agrees one for one with that generated in VSS.
