### Design Notes

Peak to Average (PTAR) Block

This example illustrates the use of the peak to average ratio block PTAR. In one case the PTAR's SIGTYP parameter is set to 'Voltage' and in the other it is set to 'Power, dBm'. In both cases the PTAR block is driven by a 16QAM source.

The tables display the available outputs of the PTAR block.

In the system diagram you will find an explanation of the underlying mathematics used by the PTAR block.

The PTAR block can be found under the Signal Processing category of the Elements tree.
