Broadband VHF/UHF Amplifier Design Using Coaxial Transformers
This project shows the results from a broad band power amplifier designed by Polyfet RF Devices using Applied Wave Research software.

A simple calculation of Pdiss (Power Dissipated in the amplifier = Pdc + Input Power - Output Power) is demonstrated. The equations make use of standard measurements Gain, DCRF, and the measured output power to obtain the desired Pdiss.
The results of Pdiss are plotted on the graph "Swept Power IDS and Pdiss at 250 MHz". gph:Swept Power IDS and Pdiss at 250 MHz All of the equations can be viewed on the Output Equations page in the Project tab.
This project contains the finished design of this circuit using the Polyfet power MOSFET devices.
Notice the simulation results of this project compared to the measured results.
