When tuning, graph limits expand to fit results but do not contract until a full simulation is run again so data is always in view.   The only exception is if you have manually limited the graph axis from the graph properties. 

This article uses active content, where buttons on the web page interact with the AWR Design Environment. If these buttons don't work, please see: Help Connecting to AWRDE from Active Content. Manual steps are provided if active content isn't working for you.


To see an example, follow along below.

Download and open this file: axis_limits_tuning.emp

Open the only schematic and graph, tile the windows and simulate.

The graph should look like below, notice the y-axis limits


You can open the tuner and make the value larger and then smaller to see the axis on the graph automatically scale, or you can click the button to watch tuning to larger values to watch the y-axis expand.   The y-axis should be the full range of the sine wave.

From the menus, select "Scripts > Project Scripts > tune1"

The graph should look like below, notice the y-axis limits have expanded.

Then click the button below to tune to smaller values and watch the y-axis stay the same, it doesn't change when the data limits are smaller.

From the menus, select "Scripts > Project Scripts > tune2"

The graph should look like below, notice the y-axis limits do no contract.



When you do a full simulation again, the axis will reset to the extents of the data on the graph.  Click the simulate button or the button below to see this change.
