Use Snap To Fit in layout to adjust the length of certain elements (MTRACE, iNet) to complete a connection where a rat line is present.
For example, see the layout below, with an MTRACE2 element between two MLIN elements.
Next select the MTRACE2 element in the layout.
Use the Snap to fit command, either from the Edit > Snap to fit menu or the Snap to fit tool bar icon.
After the command is done, the MTRACE2 will have added bends and removed the rate line.
After complete, the element is still selected. Click anywhere else to remove the selection.
Note that the snap to fit is NOT the same thing as a layout router. It will not avoid other layout objects. Instead, it adjusts it parameters such that the rat line goes away. If you need to complete a complex route, we suggest you use the routing functions of these elements first. If you get close but still have a rat line, then use snap to fit to complete the layout.
