Design Notes
RFI Spur Finder Script
Overview
This project contains a "spur finder" “spur finder” script that identifies all the spurs above a pre-defined level for specified ranges of RF and multiple LO frequencies. In this case, a triple-conversion system is implemented and the spurs at the output of the RF link are examined.
Procedure
The script may be executed by selecting Scripts -> Project Scripts -> SpurFinder. The script UI allows the user to define ranges and step sizes for the frequencies at RF as well as the three LOs. The user also specifies a spec limit (the lowest power level used for spur identification). The script sweeps through all the frequency combinations and identifies all the spurs above the specified power limit. Upon completion the results are stored on the data file FoundSpurs under the Project tree.
The script may take longer with finer or wider frequency ranges; however, this would be much more efficient than performing a similar test in real hardware.
