Today's Tip of the Day
Tuner Update
This video will show users how to tune elements on a Schematic and view the results changing on a graph in real time. It also covers the other features of tuning such as saving states, and freezing traces to compare results. AWR significantly enhanced the user interface for tuning starting in version 14.
Starting in V14, the tuner has a significant update as shown below.
The tuner dialog now uses the property grid style of dialog box which has the following advantages:
- Having the tuner arranged horizontally allows many more variables to be included in the tuner while still remaining functional.
- You can filter items to tune on a subset of variables very easily.
- You can add/edit and filter on tags all within the tuning dialog.
- You can easily sort by any column to change the order of the tuned variables.
- You can click on an item in the Element category to open that schematic and zoom that element.
- You can multi-select items to quickly change values or set new limits.
- Saved states now persist through closing the tuner. They are still reset when the project is closed.
