WLAN 802.11ac Test Bench

This example demonstrates a WLAN 802.11ac system, built according to the WLAN 802.11ac specifications.  It requires the WLAN 802.11ac Library, which can be found in the AWR Downloads page.

Configurable options on the transmitter block include:

• TX Mode: defines the operating MCS (modulation and coding scheme) according to the specifications

• TX Power: output power

• Bandwidth: operating channel bandwidth

• Guard Interval: 800ns or 400ns

• Payload: in number of bits

• SMPSYM: samples per symbol

• CTRFRQ: carrier frequency

The receiver is configured automatically during run time based on the transmitter configuration.  Alternatively, the user can manually set the configuration parameters at the receiver.

The test bench includes several standard measurements, such as total EVM, EVM per subcarrier or OFDM symbol, IQ constellation, spectral measurements and output power.  Additional measurements may be easily added to the test bench.
