VSS/LabVIEW Integration Example
This example shows the use of a LabVIEW VI in VSS. It requires LabVIEW Run-Time Environment (LV-RTE) or LabVIEW Development Environment (LV-DE).
Demo.vi has several inputs of various types (Integer, Real and Complex) and four corresponding outputs. The signals at each input are passed through simple signal processing and passed to the outputs. The LABVIEW block in VSS is configured to use Demo.vi and it maps the parameter Offset to one of the VI inputs, and 4 of the VSS input nodes to the remaining four inputs of the VI. All four outputs of the VI are mapped to the four output nodes of the LABVIEW block. While the simulation is running, user can tune the parameter Offset and immediately see its effect on the signals at the output nodes of the LABVIEW block.
User can choose to use LV-RTE (faster run time but does not allow for debugging or modification of the VI), or LV-DE (slower but allows debugging and/or modification of the VI).
The VI used in this example was generated with LabVIEW 2012 32-bit. Hence, if LV-RTE is selected under LVMODE, LV-RTE 2012 32-bit should be installed.
