Problem

This problem was first reported by customers who updated to Windows 10 (2004) build 19041.  The most common manifestation is a linear measurement simulation failure, often during tuning, with the message Factorization of matrix failed due to non-finite entries in the matrix.  The problem may appear in other ways, however.

Solution

Update to AWR Design Environment version 15.02 or later.  If updating is not an option, try specifying the APLAC Linear simulator, rather than Default Linear, when adding linear measurements to graphs or output equations.  To change existing measurements to use APLAC:

  1. From the menu, select Scripts > Simulation > Convert Meas To APLAC
  2. Check the box next to Linear
  3. Click OK.
