Problem

Some customers work in secure areas that do not allow any hardware with memory to leave the work area. This poses a problem for some customers trying to use AWR's hardware keys in these areas.

Summary

The hardware key used by AWR is the Sentinel supplied HASP HL Pro RoHS USB dongle part number FLEXID-ALA-8626. These keys are purchased from Sentinel by Flexera, the vendor for FLEXlm, who burns a unique serial number into them.

These devices as delivered by AWR are a read-only device. When attached to a computer system they are not a writable device and no data can be stored on them.
