Install Directions

You can unzip the file anywhere you want on your computer and the browse to the library each time you use the wizard.  When in the Pick Part dialog you can browse here:

Alternately, you can tell the RFP tool where the factor and user libraries are located.

  1. Make sure you have already created at least one RFP instance.  If you are not sure what this means, run the wizard and then click on the Generate Design button and then the OK  button.
  2. Browse to the ifp_Prefs.ini file.  From the AWR Design Environment, select Help > Show Files/Directories.   Double click in the Appdatauser folder.

  3. Edit the ifp_Prefs.ini file. with a text editor and find the sections called:

    [Folders]
    Library=
    FactLib=

  4. For the FactLib=, fill in the path to the location of the library.    Such as FactLib=C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\AWR\Design Environment\RFP_Factory_Library

  5. Save the ifp_Prefs.ini file, shut down and restart the software.

If you are unsure where to put the library, we recommend using C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\AWR\Design Environment\RFP_Factory_Library as this is a good location to store files associated with the AWR Design Environment.
