Line Type Name Length in LPF File

Problem

Line type names in .lpf file can not exceed 32 characters

Solution

When creating custom linetype names in the .lpf file, you must limit the names of the linetypes to 32 characters.

In Version 6.0 and later, the linetype name is truncated to 32 characters when imported into the project. To see this open the Layout view of a schematic element. Now double-click the element and select Shape Properties. A Cell Options dialog will appear. Select the Layout tab and view the truncated line type name in the Line Type pane.
