Problem

Does AWR provide any university course material?

Solution

Keith Kikkert of James Cook University has developed an RF Design Course for final year undergraduate or masters students. AWR has acquired a license to make this material available to any university that is interested in using it. Included in the course are lecture notes as well as Microwave Office project files for all of the examples. All of these files are provided free of copy restrictions to any university wishing to use them for teaching RF design with Microwave Office. We have added additional material as well as various updates to the Microwave Office project files.

The lecture notes cover the following topics:

  • Chapter 1: Introduction

  • Chapter 2: Simulation

  • Chapter 3: RF Transformers

  • Chapter 4: Transmission Line Hybrids

  • Chapter 5: Mixers

  • Chapter 6: Oscillators

  • Chapter 7: RF Filters

  • Chapter 8: Amplifier Stability, Noise and Gain Circles

  • Chapter 9: Impedance Matching of Power Amplifiers

If you have any questions or feedback on the course material please send it to awr.university.program@cadence.com . Use the same email if you have questions regarding licensing or redistribution rights for the material.
