Why does some part of my layout look dim when I print it out

Problem

When layout is printed, some elements appear dim compared to others.

Solution

With the layout window active, select Layout > Layout Mode Properties... , and uncheck the box for Dim lower levels of hierarchy before you print. After printing you can recheck this box so that actual subcircuits will appear dimmed on the screen.

NOTE: The Layout Editor Mode Setting dialog box may change from version to version, but the option is the same.
