To run this script

Select Scripts > Data > DC_Network_Setup from the Menus.

Or, in versions that support the script, you can run the utility directly from this page using this button.

Description

This script allows a user to add DC data into a data file. It also adds a graph comparing the original data file with the generated data file containing the added DC data. Currently this script only works for touchstone data files and MDIF files with single variable.

The figures below shows the process and results from a data file that contains no DC data to a data file containing the DC data:

When the user runs the script, the GUI will have a data file selection along with text box for frequency input.

The Cutoff Frequency for upper low and lower high band is assigned to Diplexer element DIPLEXF. If the user is not sure what value to input, just use the default value (0.1).

After the user clicks OK, a schematic named new_DC_network is created with the same number of ports as the data file. The user will need to complete the DC network as needed in this schematic:

The new_DC_Network is wired in the New_Fix schematic as shown in the following figure:

The user will get the following dialog box asking to simulate the project in sequence as indicated:

After the user simulates the project, a new data file with the DC value added to it is created and added under Data Files. The graph plotting the Smodel measurement comparing the original and DC fixed data file is also created.
